Hi! I’m Ellie and I love hanging out with kids! I work at the YMCA doing after school care and holiday programmes, and have done plenty of tutoring and babysitting/childcare for all ages. I have plenty of experience looking after children and I love looking after kids of all ages. I have a comprehensive Red Cross first aid certificate and Safeguarding training for children and vulnerable adults.

Special Needs Experience
While living in Dunedin, I was a youth worker at a community group for children and adults with Down Syndrome. This involved ensuring a safe and fun experience for all members, including dealing with any bumps in the road as they come! I also have experience working with neurodivergent children as well as children with physical disabilities :).
Childcare Experience
I’ve been babysitting kids in my neighbourhood for the last five years before school and after school, during the weekends or when parents have a night out. I have experience looking after babies as well as children and young people with special needs. I work at the YMCA holiday programme during holidays which involves looking after and entertaining children aged 5-14, which I underwent safeguarding training for. I also have a comprehensive first aid certificate and I love kids of all ages :)
