I have over 6 years experience in childcare ranging from primary school, babysitting and early childhood care. Aswell as being a big sister to 3 wonderful humans. Special Needs Experience
At my current workplace we cater for children with a range of special needs such as ADHD, ADD, autism and Down syndrome. I have learnt with experience and from other staff members how to appropriately work with and approach situations with children who have special needs
Childcare Experience
As I have previously mentioned my experience in childcare I just want to talk about what I find most rewarding about working with kiddies. I love to work with a diverse range of kids, from babies to tweens and everything in between i find each individual child is so unique and has such a new perspective on the world. One of the things I say most is that all though I am the ‘teacher’ I find I learn just as much from them as they do from me. I also love to learn about and experience the children’s cultures and backgrounds. For those who I have worked with or babysat for longer periods, one of my all time favourite parts about what I do is watching them grow and growing with them. I never forget the kids I care for and a lot of them become part of my life forever 😊
